Additive 1.17.3 Changelog
1.20.1 now has every mod, however it will still be considered a beta for a little while. Various crash fixes on Quilt versions. Fastload has been removed - see "Removed" section for more details
Added
- Fix Keyboard on Linux and EmuNO
- Small fixes that makes the experience on Linux and MacOS better
- FastQuit to 1.20.1
Changed
- Updated Entity Model Features
Removed
- RRLS from Quilt 1.18.2 due to crashing
- Dynamic FPS from Quilt 1.19.4 due to crashing
- Fastload from all versions because:
- The mod has various bugs, or functionalities that interfere with the game:
- Someone in my Discord server had brought up that they nearly got killed in their hardcore world because the mod makes chunks load early during rendering, which can take a while on slower computers
- Spawn chunks aren't always loaded unlike Vanilla, which can interfere with the game
- Fastload sometimes continues music or ambient sounds when switching dimensions or joining a world/server. For example, when switching from the main menu to a world, the main menu music will sometimes continue. Or when switching from the nether, the nether ambience may continue
- The mod can apparently interfere with controller support
- The mod is no longer maintained, as stated by the creator in the description. This means that these bugs won't be fixed.
- The mod tends to be slower than Vanilla when connecting to servers.
- Various people in the Fabulously Optimized Discord server have reported issues about the mod:
- "[...] due to the mod constantly becoming slower on every update which the universal update since has caused, it doesn't seem worth having"
- "[...] ceasing game controller support and continuing to play sounds when it's not supposed to upon switching dimensions"
- "fastload causes me issues sometimes, gets stuck on starting session"
- "[...] fastload just makes loading times (into servers) slower than in vanilla"
- (in response to above) "can confirm, up to 2x slower loading times"
- TLDR: this mod is not worth keeping in Additive due to various bugs that won't be fixed as the mod won't be maintained, and it tends to be slower than Vanilla in many cases anyway.

- Why? I asked about removing it and we discussed this on my Discord server for a little while, with most of the community voting for it to be removed. It's hard to come to a conclusion about if it affects or improves performance at all, as many factors have to be considered, but there are other reasons why it was removed:
- It is in an alpha state and is experimental. This can lead to instability, or even in very rare cases, world corruption.
- It has very mixed opinions. I’ve seen people in the past who think badly of it being included in a popular modpack such as Adrenaline.
- It doesn’t have great mod compatibility. It typically has to be removed in content modpacks due to this.
- The mod's configs will stay built-in to the modpack, as C2ME will be added as a recommended mod in the post-install section of the wiki. It's up to you if you want to add it in post even considering it's negatives.
