Still no Forge port :/ but I think I am making progress so maybe next update?
- Amethyst will now randomly play sparkle sounds
- Improved list configs validation
- New "Cull Particles With No Alpha" config (defaults to true). If particles from other mods aren't rendering (Particular leaves specifically) try disabling this. Fixes #10
- Warnings in config descriptions are now colored red for better visibility
- Rain is now colored to match biome water color
- New built in resource pack which will cause all vanilla water particles to match biome water color

Unfortunately, I could not get Forge to build correctly, so if anyone wants to try to fix it they can. It's on the "1.20.1 backport" branch

- Improved how soul variants of fire related blocks are detected
- Configs for heartbeat and stomach growling are now number values to control at what point in the health/hunger bar the sounds start playing
- Fixed a few configs not being loaded
- Added sculk dust particles to sculk blocks and sculk veins
- Breaking a sculk shrieker or catalyst will emit a sculk soul
- Killing a warden will emit 3-5 sculk souls
- Added amethyst sparkles to calibrated sculk sensors
- Added light level threshold configs for water steaming and bubbling
